As summer vacation comes, Shibadong village of Huayuan county has ushered in a tourism boom. Red tours, rural tours and study tours are popular among tourists.

Three students from the Communication University of China (CUC) took a three-day study tour in Shibadong village. They traced the Red footprints, learned about Shibadong villagers' efforts to become rich and experienced the charm of Miao embroidery in the three days.

"It's the first time that I have come here. The scenery is beautiful, and homestay inns and food are very attractive to me. I found the locals are simple. I hope to come here again in the future to have a deeper experience," said one of the three students.

At the intangible cultural heritage Miao embroidery base, the Miao women are busy embroidering. A Zhuzhou tourist was dazzled by the various exquisite Miao embroidery products displayed on the shelves and praised them repeatedly.

"I find that there is a wide variety of Miao embroidery products. For example, these computer bags have multiple types and stronger practicality. I really like them," said a tourist.

Since July, Shibadong village has seen a continuous tourism boom. Tourists retraced the Red tourist routes, ate farmers' food, lived in characteristic homestay inns and experienced intangible cultural heritage projects.

Since July 1, the village has received over 500 tourist groups and 37,109 tourists, with an average daily reception of 1,754 tourists.

"Now the summer vacation is coming, and there are more and more guests to the village. Basically, each of our tour guides provides considerate guide services for three or four tour groups every day and tells the story of our village well," a tour guide of Shibadong Scenic Area said excitedly.
